1 out of 3.
That’s how much "noise" clutters your LinkedIn feed - minimally!
One out of every three posts is an ad, a promoted post, or some random suggestion you never asked for. And that doesn't even include the Premium ads, News, Games, Jobs, and all the other distractions flooding the sidebars.
For some of us, the noise is even worse - I've seen my feed hit 50% clutter!
LinkedIn used to be about meaningful connections and valuable insights, but lately, it's more like an ad-driven content dump. The reach for real posts is declining while the number of irrelevant distractions is skyrocketing.
That's why I've been working on CleanedIn. It shows you just how much of your feed is noise (based on your definition of "noise") and the next beta release will let you filter out posts based on keywords. Yes, that means you can finally block out topics you're sick of seeing (Trump and Musk, anyone?) and take back control of your LinkedIn experience.
Would you use something like this? What’s the most annoying thing clogging up your feed?
* in a quick poll I ran recently about the "amount of noise in your feed", 71% of respondents said it was higher than 30%. 41% said they felt over 50% of their feed was "noise"!
