Installing the extension on Chrome or Brave:
• on Github, click on the "<> Code" button and "Download ZIP", then unzip in a folder of your choice.
• or do "npm install cleanedin" in a folder of your choice.
1️⃣ Type chrome://extensions in the Chrome URL bar and press enter.
2️⃣ Enable developer mode using the toggle on the right
3️⃣ Click Load Unpacked on the left side of the screen.
4️⃣ Navigate to the location of the folder you unzipped, and select it.

Next step, submitting to Chrome Web Store for approval - which might take some time.

Dave Poirier in theory, yes, something could act as a proxy. But this would be a totally different way of doing it. Right now, I'm bot blocking or altering any requests, merely changing the UX to change colours or hide DOM elements.
