I just got my access to #Bard, so I asked both Bard and #ChatGPT "What is #NoConsentNoTracking?"
Both of them provided pretty good answers - ChatGPT being a little more exhaustive, while Bard also provided criticism. (see pictures)
When asked "Who created #NoConsentNoTracking" (me!), Bard said it was the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) campaign launched in 2018 (year is right) and highlighted how "in 2019, Google announced that it would stop tracking users across different websites without their consent"... (Google trying to put itself forward? bias???)
ChatGPT said no specific organization is credited for this "movement" and rightly pointed out that "hashtags and social movements often emerge organically, as people with shared concerns and goals come together to voice their opinions and advocate for change. It's possible that the #NoConsentNoTracking movement was started by a group of privacy-conscious individuals, activists, or organizations who were concerned about the invasive nature of online tracking and data collection practices," which is pretty good!
My Take: it seems ChatGPT won this challenge!
