I must say Piotr and the team at Piwik PRO are really doing everything right and gaining a lot of momentum in the #digitalanalytics industry—filling the void left by the #GA4 debacle and the dismantling of the GA team that happened some time ago. Those who championed Google Analytics out of passion for the product received very little (if anything!) in exchange. Even when I was named one of the very few worldwide “Google Developer Expert—Product Strategy” I actually didn’t feel I was properly recognized by Google itself—and certainly never got any swagger, speaking opportunity, nothing… When was the last time you saw an event sponsored by Google? It doesn’t have to be as grandiose as the Tableau or Adobe conferences which happened just a few weeks ago. Just look at what Piwik Pro is doing on a smaller scale. Listening to the user base and nurturing the user community can make or break any product. This morning, I saw Matt Bailey proudly showing a Piwik Pro sweatshirt and saying “Struggling with analytics, or with GA4? Try Piwik Pro. I did, and I love it.” Other recognized industry experts like Mikko Piippo, Brian Clifton, Anil Batra, Juliana Jackson and many others are now acting as advisors or openly supporting Piwik Pro, which is making quick strides and iterations to improve their offering beyond an efficient, privacy oriented and great UX web analytics solution. They are rocking it and now have tag management (#TMS), consent management (#CMP), and customer data platform (#CDP). 🤟🏼 That’s it. That’s all I had to say. I’m neither an advisor nor being paid. I haven’t had the chance to use the product extensively myself but I have enough experience to recognize when something deserves some social love. 💕 (ok, now, where’s my swagger? 😉)
