I need your help! Have you ever received a #Apple Shipment Confirmation for something you didn’t purchase? ✔️ The email itself is totally legit and really comes from Apple ❌ But the shipping address is wrong! ✔️ Going directly to the Apple Store to lookup the order number and email shows it’s a valid order. ❌ I have contacted Apple Support multiple times... 😡 Of course, they refuse to give me any details about the order—which I understand. 😤 They said the email address on the order wasn’t mine—yet I received the shipping confirmation. This hints toward it being changed quickly after the order was made. That makes sense if the fraudster wants to stay under the radar... 🤬 Providing the last digits of the only credit cards I use, they don’t match. They told me to contact my bank and cancel my credit card - which IMHO, is a totally useless thing to do and creates so much hassle! 😖 Checking Equifax doesn’t show anything out of the ordinary (I have a lock on my credit check, so in theory, I should be better protected). BUT—the order shows a delivery in the UK, so there’s a possibility there was no credit check at all and someone managed to get a credit card under my name? 😱 Of course, they refused to cancel the order… 🫤 I have also forwarded the email to Apple’s #fraud prevention… only to get an automated reply and no follow-up after several days… So… did this ever happen to you? Could it simply be a case of someone mistyping their email (which I seriously doubt!) Am I screwed?
