I stumbled upon this statement from someone in the #digitalanalytics industry for whom I have the utmost respect:
“The new data model that underpins #GA4 means that all our familiar KPIs from the old GA (UA) need to be revisited, so our measurement frameworks need to evolve in consequence.”
When your KPIs are driven by the tool, and not by the company’s strategy and goals, you have a pretty strong indicator of a lack of #datamaturity and #datagovernance.
Perhaps GA4 is the kick in the butt that was needed to change that—whether you end up using it or another solution. . .
