I'm currently pursuing the Certificate in Information Privacy from York University, supervised by Peter Kosmala. Although I already have a substantial understanding of the field, I still wanted to deepen my expertise, see how the courses are structured and the teaching methods, and add another string to my bow.
The program has three courses:
1️⃣ Fundamentals of information privacy: principles and legal frameworks
2️⃣ Privacy in technology
3️⃣ Operations
An interesting highlight from the second course, taught by Cristina Onosé, is an assignment where we critique a film with a privacy theme. I chose "Snowden" for this task - that makes for a relaxed Friday afternoon! 🎞 🍿
