Since I wrote the Web Analytics Maturity Model as an e-MBA paper in 2009, countless people have adopted the concept and used the self-assessment survey; tons of agencies and vendors have embraced it as is or made changes to fit their own needs and market reality. Most recognized my contribution by giving credit, while a few blatantly copied the concept (especially a certain vendor who announced their model at a big event where so many people in the room turned to me and said, "wtf?")... but that's another story.
Today I want to share a great example of how such a maturity model can help you take a step back, think, plan and fiercely climb the maturity ladder. Check the "Customer Centric Digital Analytics & Personalization Assessment Model" from Mohamed Hedi Lassoued, a Senior Digital Analyst based in Berlin who took inspiration from my own model as well as the Impact Matrix from Avinash Kaushik.
While the proposed approach remains essentially true to its roots, it brings the now so important "Ethics & Compliance" dimension.
