The more I dive into the world of #privacy, the more I realize that privacy is a spectrum that runs from one reckless person to another.
On one end, you have those who think they have nothing to hide, nothing to fear.
At the other end, you have those who are quick to criticize any #innovation but offer no real alternatives, except, perhaps, a return to the Middle Ages. And even then, privacy was a very relative concept...
According to their logic, most technologies we have today wouldn't exist: no Internet, no Web, no cell phone, no social media, no cable TV, no modern cars, no AI - because each of those collects and use vast amounts of data which could potentially be turned into mass #surveillance and abused by authoritarian regimes.
Extremes are always dangerous.
